Since 2001, Jastan Logistics has grown from two vehicles in a small freight forwarding operation into a 120+-vehicle regional carrier serving six countries from its head office in Nakuru.
Our story
Twenty years, one decision that shaped everything
Jastan Logistics began in 2001 as a small freight forwarding operation with two vehicles. Early on the company made a choice most of its competitors did not: to own and operate its own fleet rather than subcontract every load to third-party carriers.
It was the harder route. Trucks tie up capital, need workshops, drivers, spares and discipline. But it is also the only way to answer the question every serious shipper eventually asks — who is actually responsible for my cargo? With Jastan the answer has never had to be complicated.
Two decades on, that fleet has grown to more than 120 vehicles across eight classes, from 480HP prime movers on the Northern Corridor to insulated motorbikes covering the final kilometre in a Nakuru estate. The team has grown to 300+ people. The operating principle has not changed.
